Fixed or Growth
Is that an Interest rate or a Shares option?
I am …a procrastinator… crap at……wasn’t born to……
Most of us at times fall guilty of falling into a Fixed Mindset
A fixed mindset can be potentially harmful to our wellbeing because it indicates that you can’t change, improve or develop.
For example, if you have the Fixed Mindset that you are not good at say, numbers, then you may not bother trying, you’ll do the bare minimum to get by.
At the same time if you have a Fixed Mindset that you are talented with numbers, you could also face the prospect of not trying and be complacent because you think you are ‘so good’ at it.
But if you apply a Growth Mindset to either, you are opening your brain to the possibility of ‘getting better’
When I was in Year 9, I was told I couldn’t sew.
A few years later I had an opportunity to make a small cushion at a workshop.
I could have chosen, “I can’t sew”.
But instead, I took a risk to my ego, and had a go! I experienced a little success, and felt a twinge of confidence, and then curiosity. I then started to feel so much pleasure in sewing, making mistakes, learning, getting better, feeling proud of what I had made, I went on to make my daughter’s baby clothes and later our formal dresses we wore to special events.
Fixed Mindset – “I can’t sew”
I can be a better….be greater at…..get more of……learn about. …..GROWTH mindset
If you want to PROGRESS in your life, be open to the game changer.
A GROWTH MINDSET
